You’ve got more control than you think. You just need to learn how to own it.
The road to making great, world-changing theatre has three parts.
There are a lot of people out there teaching one or two of them. The problem is, they’re not separate. They’re connected, interdependent, symbiotic.
It’s not enough to learn one or two. You’ve got to get comfortable with all three, and with the ways they complement and support each other.
Being a working, effective theatre professional is about learning:
- Craft: the skills and tools needed for masterful artistry itself
- Bodymind: maximizing and unifying your physical, mental, and emotional potential
- Logistics: handling all the other stuff that isn’t your art but can make or break your ability to create it
